E' la storia di Luca e Gustav. La loro vita di coppia cambia radicalmente, quando il governo nel febbraio 2007 propone una legge sulle unioni di fatto estesa anche alle coppie omosessuali. Il paese si è così diviso tra chi si diceva a favore dei DiCo e chi gli sparava contro. Dai pulpiti delle chiese e dai salotti televisivi, si e' arrivati a livelli parossistici di intolleranza. Gustav e Luca si sono trovati, così, in mezzo a un'omofobia crescente. Per capirne i motivi hanno iniziato un viaggio in un'Italia a loro finora sconosciuta.
"IMPROVVISAMENTE L'INVERNO SCORSO" di Gustav Hofer e Luca Ragazzi, di produzione indipendente, selezionato nella sezione PANORAMA dello scorso Festival di Berlino, menzione speciale della giuria 'Manfred Salzgeber', dedicato a lungometraggi o documentari particolarmente innovativi..Il film, che coraggiosamente svela il dietro le quinte del vuoto legislativo sulle unioni di fatto e si incunea nei pensieri degli italiani a tal proposito, dopo la proiezione romana partira' per un vero e proprio tour promozionale in tutta Italia, dal Nord al Sud dello stivale, toccando circa 20 citta per poi proseguire in Canada e USA.

Suddenly Last Winter is the story of Gustav and Luca. Their life changes when the Italian government presents a draft law that would give rights to unmarried and gay couples, prompting a wave of homophobia in Italy. The Vatican and conservatives fight against it, preaching that the end of morality and the family are nigh if the legalisation on civil unions is not blocked. Together for over eight years, Luca and Gustav want to understand the different positions and undertake a journey into a country they did not know before and did not expect to find: their own.
This documentary of Gustav Hofer e Luca Ragazzi presented at Berlin Film Festival will be shown all over Italy and in North America as well.
